| WOW...
I seriously have not written in here forEVER! I am about to go back to Colorado for the rest of the summer, but I sure did have an amazing trip here in Sweet Carolina
When I first got here we went on an "03" camping trip to Jordan Lake! It was so much fun! It seems like even if we don't see each other for awhile, we can just pick up right where we left off. I love that.
I also went down to Wilmington to stay with Megan! Her condo is SOO cute and makes me so excited about living with Adam next year! Luckily, I got a chance to see Katie and Kat too! I miss my girls!
I guess I will try and update this thing again...it's kind of fun actually!

I'm back in Boulder and it's as beautiful as ever. Today it's about 60 degrees, clear skies and SUN! I'm just wasting time (as usual) in the library.
I can't even begin to describe how psyched I was to come back here. My "home away from home" is definetely starting to feel like just home. I really missed everyone - it's weird when you spend 24/7 with the people on your floor and then you don't see them for a couple of weeks.
Classes are pretty good so far. I'm almost positive I'm dropping my Astronomy class though - it just seems like it's going to be too much work for me this semester. Plus, then I will only have 15 hours, rather than 18, which would have really sucked. I'm taking a Journalism class, Culture, Gender and Film (which I'm going to next!!), Math (basic college easy math!), Language in US Society, and Geology 2. My teachers seem pretty laid back, and that is always a good thing. I really think the class is dependent on the teacher. Some are just THAT much better than others - coming to class doesn't seem like such a chore.
The one thing I'm not really excited for is the dorm food which I'm so incredibly sick of! That and....all the work that comes with these dumb classes. I was like "YaY! I'm back at school!!" And then I was like "Oh wait - we have classes tomorrow - UGHH!!!" oh well!
Well, I'm going to go waste more of my precious time! oops!
| This is my 1st entry since I've been back to sweet North Carolina for the Holidays. I was so glad to come home - it had been wayyy to long without seeing family and friends.
So far I have spent my time hanging out with friends and fam, shopping, SLEEPiNG, and just having an awesome break!
Oh yah I FINALLY saw a couple of movies (I hadn't been to the movies since summer! saddd!) I saw Bad Santa last night - really funny and a lot better than I expected! I almost didn't go! ;) Today I saw Cheaper by the Dozen which was TOO CUTE and just a great movie to see w/ the family! On Tuesday I am going out to lunch w/ my mom and sisters, and our friend Debbie to see Monalisa Smile. I can't wait! It's such a girl movie - it's not even funny!!
I hope Santa treated you all very well! My favorite gift I got this year was my digital camera! I can't wait to hook it up to my computer back at school so I can put some pictures on a website!
I hope everyone is having an great break! I probably won't write much in here over the next couple of weeks, but I'm sure once 2nd semester gets going I'll be distracting myself by blogging every chance that i get!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR YA'LL!!

| PUT A FORK IN IT!!!
I can't not even believe that I am done with my 1st semester at CU! I just finished my last final. Had to peel my ass out of bed at like 5 am to study, take the test at 7:30, and then be done at 8!! Whooa!! It's only 9 am and I'm as wide awake as can be!
It feels like I just got here! I can't even explain how happy I am that made the decision to come out here. I was really nervous about it, but about mid-way into the semester I found myself at a football game, just absorbing all the energy and completely rowled up for the game...and I just thought to myself, "damn, I'm SO glad I came here!"
I have met some of the coolest people out here - I've definetely learned some new slang (Esp from cali...*hellllla*) I've met tons of awesome guys and gals, and been able to look at the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains every single day. I've learned how to walk in the snow/ice without eating shit every time I try to go somewhere (Well, kind of.) I've learned that PB&J sandwiches function for every meal, as well as salad and cereal. I know which frats have good parties and which are sketchy. I know that talking crap about your RA is not a good idea, because they could be right behind you. Oh and I also know my way around campus (for the most part). Did i even mention that I learned a lot in my classes too? Yah....all about mass comm (yay for J majors!), a little bit of geology, the difference between CommunicationS and communication, and a tad bit of Human Geographies!!
My point is, I LOVE LOVE this school! Going home will be really nice since it has been so long, but I'm sure that it will remind me how much I miss the "People's Republic of Boulder" and how stoked I am for 2nd semester!
*sigh* Now it's 9:07...I think I will take a little nap.
| SOoo I just got back from "studying" with Beau - not too much of that happened. Mostly just eating pizza and hanging out, but that's ok with me, I guess. My final is at 7:30am on tuesday!! WTF?? That's so messed up - what if i slept in? Oh my gosh i would seriously freak out! Right now Michelle (my roomate), has to yell at me to get out of bed when I get up early to study. It's really funny actually, she's like "Amy, get up. NOW. YOu have to study." And i'm like "ahhh ok" It's great.
If you know me, you know that I talk in my sleep. Hmm. Oh it's really pretty. The funny thing is Michelle talks in her sleep too. SOO we actually talk to one another in our sleep. How we know, you ask? Wellll....we definitely wake our selfs up doing it! Ha! It's hilarious!
Slowly our hall is clearing out for winter break. I'm soo excited to go home. Kinda nervous, but excited. It's going to be SO weird but really interesting! I wonder if I've changed?? I don't really think so, but who knows!
I have SO much Christmas shopping to do. And it's like STUDYiNG vs CHRiSTMAS SHOPPING....hmm I wonder which I'd prefer! You know who are the hardest to buy for? MEN. Women are SO easy. We love everything - there are SO many things you can get women. Guys are just so picky about everything and it's not like spend a lot of time deciding which jewlery or perfume to wear. (Well except for maybe, Adam! HA!) I dunno, it's just annoying getting presents for men. Thank God I have so many sisters!!
Well I guess I better put my sweet ass to bed! I'm going to get up tommorrow and study....study the flat irons mall that is! Human geography is no where near as important as finding the *perfect* gift for whoever!!!
Wow, let's talk priorities here.
Oops, time for bed!!! G'nite ya'll!
